As of 1st April 2016, Oakington Manor Primary School and Furness Primary School joined the Excellence in Education Trust, making both schools into an academy.

From the 1st of March the Excellence in Education Trust became incorporated 

There are 20 governors consisting of parents, staff, local authority representatives, partnership and co-opted governors.  The governing body is responsible for the strategic management of the school and helps make decisions about a wide range of issues.
